Religions are billion dollar per year scams that repeat stories in
mythology for donation dollars. Invisible gods, devils, and demons only
exist in mythology but the religions claim they really exist then beg
their followers to donate 10% of their money to "spread the good word".
By "spreading the good word" they gain more donating members (just like
pyramid schemes). Religions start by indoctrinating (grooming) children
with their beliefs in an INVISIBLE "god" and then when the children
reach adulthood they begin working and donating money to their church
and continue donating money to their church until they die. So 18 to 20
years of grooming nets 50 to 60 years of donating. It's all about making
untraceable TAX EXEMPT money for the owners of the churches while the
gullible members never realize their INVISIBLE "god" only exists in
MYTHOLOGY and they're being scammed out of their money.

A being capable of creating everything we know , would certainly and most definitely not be like the thug god of the bible . He is truly the most sadistic , bloodthirsty , vicious , barbaric , ridiculous , incompetent , angry , vengeful being in the universe . The king of childish temper tantrums .

He would reveal himself and everybody would know without a doubt that he exist . No holy wars , no confusion , no ridiculous sacrifice and much more good stuff . You know like a good father is suppose to be .

    Faith is not a reliability.
It is the reasoning we use to try.
The idea that we can succeed.
    It is a reasonable confidence.
    A belief in ourselves.

Poor Carl. He struggled SO hard to get that phone analogy in. You can actually hear him try for it earlier in the call but Matt stops him to nail down the faith issue.

So Matt FINALLY gets Carl to halfheartedly admit that faith is not a reliable path to faith, so Matt allows Carl to continue.

So what does Carl continue with? That's right: another half assed argument for FAITH, by stupidly trying to compare a phone turning on with faith in a god existing.

When Matt calls him on THIS bullshit line of reasoning, Carl proceeds to dismiss HIS OWN ARGUMENT by saying "you can't compare the natural to the supernatural."

Once again Matt destroys him, Carl then, after stating that he see's what Matt "doesn't understand," goes back to….yep, you guessed it: FAITH.

    I mean it's insane.

I imagine poor deluded little Carl sitting there with his little script in his hand, all excited about his "Gotcha!" points he probably found online somewhere, only for it to slowly dawn on him that he was way, WAY out of his depth.

The "yeah" at the end of his call says it all LOL.

A quick search of demigods suggests that Norse, Celtic, Hindu and Chinese mythology, so it's FAR older than Christianity. And yet the bigger problem is admitting that it's NOT that unique of a claim, but neither is death and resurrection of a "son of a deity"

Even fiction has it several times: Kratos in God of War, Wonder Woman from DC Comics (possibly some other demigods I've forgotten, not as well versed as I'd like to be on that), Maui in Moana (based on the Hawaiian demigod in mythology)

Faith? My best friend of over 35 years now that i look at like a brother could say to me "Hey man i saw a UFO and it landed near where i was and these little grey things came out" and i would not 100% completely believe him. (i would be toying with the idea of maybe he was on something, or his mind played tricks on him, etc)
However i would have "Faith" that HE was convinced that is what he saw.
"CHristians" with this faith argument do not seem to get it, that Faith is not in any way a path to 100% truth even if it is your best friend telling you something and he had no reason or motive to lie to you.
