Funeral Strippers Dance For The Dead

all parts of taiwan uh… their is a
little bit ritual no now as uh… funeral stripping and it sounds like oft
word and we hear it but what they basically do is uh… the strippers will try to apis wondering
spirits uh… during the funeral so you know
usually some funerals will have people who bring food or flower is you know
different types of gifts for the deceased but immoral parts of taiwan
they believe and you know giving that spirit one last for robb it’s truly remarkable what man can get
away with when you wrap it in religion honey honey i know i know i know you
mom’s dad uh… but we should have said this is a
few why or because the one experts are the ones
that with other servers let me is it’s a perfect and is it is a
ridiculous cover but it works is like uh… you know sectors of smith uh… paid money on property balance that i
have to have such a very worst means god’s will and uh… it’s crazy but if you wrap it in
religion you can get away with doing weird crazy otherwise you rational friends this is one of the few examples of how
religion has been used for good business i agree uh… below the surface
observing her funeral is always good why not a lot of time but i think it would make sense to you
that this happens into rural communities and i’ve never been areas disturbing
there’s no need this in new york plenty of other diversions yet actual strip
clubs we have other things but in rural areas denied have television or the internet
made they don’t have that much so it it it is an opportunity for
entertainment excitement this is perfect right also uh… the people that they
have a pretty uh… uh… if modest slash sometimes puritanical outlook on
on sex and sexuality it’s you know we covered the story lastly everywhere the
average age of the first kiss from out of the chinese are twenty three trillion
so they’ve been a repressive satellite that i mean leafy have any kind of bs excuse to have some saxon sexuality thrown in there for good causes everyone support snow wind
up yeah absolutely and you know there are lines that
started to ban this because they didn’t used to have this intervene areas like
as recently as the nineteen eighties they were doing this in urban areas as
well but that of course the religious people kind of uh… does not get back
to you said no you can’t be doing this and that’s what you see it happen more
often in the rural areas but not people are trying to ban in rural areas as well
and at the end of the day it’s it’s my stance on most issues intense of victim listing if it’s not
harming anyone and the family likes it and they don’t have a problem with it
who’s getting hurt no one’s being exploited no one’s being forced to do
this as long as it you know does standards
are met i’m totally fine with it asserts hired
we don’t get big government that’s an example of big government when they’d
when they see that you’re having fun in your join your life a little bit may
come in at no you’re not to have fun okay you’re not a
lot to do that uh… we’re gonna take that away uh…
and then in the united states of course there’s economic freedom more people in the upper class do whatever the hell
they want so that’s not something that frustrates
me likey in taiwan if they like to do this have added half-time

haha isnt that the exact samething u r doing. Okay tell you what, if winning is so important to you, you reply to this comment, and I wont reply back. Or if you dont reply, congrats you still won, it is just a Youtube argument with a person that make facts up, so yeah you win!!

  2. Black Gate of Mordor Posted on October 16, 2012 at 6:14 am

The Bible doesn't promote violence? Have you even READ the book of Joshua?

  3. DeadlyChinchilla Posted on October 16, 2012 at 6:15 am

No, it's not, because I am *consciously* doing it not in the course of "winning," but in seeing YOU attempt to "win," wherein you are simply filling space again and again, mindlessly proving the theory. The point is precisely that I keep commenting back, and I believe you'll reply again, your proposed game having been ignored. Now you attempt some sad psychology in an effort to not be made out the total fool, and sorry to say, too little too late.

Would you like a source that snow is cold?

  4. No More Posted on October 16, 2012 at 8:19 am

Might want to check your facts the bub.

  5. No More Posted on October 16, 2012 at 8:50 am

No i should not and yes i am.

Just wondering, who voted in Molosovic? And unlike Blair or Bush, it was the actual War Crimes tribunal at the Hague that found him guilty of War crimes.

So you former Yugoslavs should stay quiet… humble and apologetic.
You elected that murderer and are in no position to give anyone criticism of their country.

  6. No More Posted on October 16, 2012 at 9:04 am

And who precisely was it that stopped him? Oh yeah it was NATO. And who was it that freed your country from Nazi control? Oh yeah it was the Allies. The only reason you are still here to make accusations against America and the UK is because our troops fought and died for you.

When the documents come out stating that the Iraq war began because Bush and Blair wanted to ethnically cleanse the country, then you can judge them. Until then save your ire for your own elected monsters.

  7. No More Posted on October 16, 2012 at 9:06 am

So condemning people to Hell for all eternity because they dont believe in a magic jew is forgiving and merciful? You see Hell isn't mentioned in the Old Testament at all, the closest is a reference to the grave. It's a strictly New Testament invention. So please explain how that is forgiving.

  8. No More Posted on October 16, 2012 at 9:09 am

I was 17 when Blair was elected. But you seem to think i have the responsibility for him so you have the responsibility for Molosovic. If not then you have proved my point.

And no its not the massacre that shows we are good, its the fact we put a stop to it.

  9. deathByStupid Posted on October 16, 2012 at 9:15 am

Taiwan the places with universal broad band program since 2007 doesn't have access to television?

    Taiwan the repressed society?

Taiwan considered the same as China? With first kiss at 23?

You sure you guys know anything about Taiwan?

  10. No More Posted on October 16, 2012 at 9:29 am

No just applying your own bizarre version of logic. You say all UK citizens bear the guilt for electing Blair, even those of us who didn't vote. So by your own reasoning everyone in Yugoslavia is responsible, likewise with Germany. Its you who are insisting everyone in a county should be blamed.

See i'm not a politician, the politician that decided those actions was not elected by me, and i don't decide policy for the secret services. So no i dont feel any shame for actions i didnt do.

  11. No More Posted on October 16, 2012 at 9:50 am

Bullshit. Whether it is an internal action or external, the person was placed in that role by democracy. So if the actions in Iraq were done in my name, then the actions of Milosevic were done in yours. You seek to make a distinction because you know your reasoning is ridiculous.

If you consider all people responsible for the actions of a few, then you're an idiot and i've wasted enough of my time replying to you.

  12. No More Posted on October 16, 2012 at 10:03 am

    And the majority elected Milosevic.

Also, excuse me but at no point did i say the person deserves no respect. It's the beliefs that deserve no respect, not the individual that holds them. There is a massive difference.

  13. No More Posted on October 16, 2012 at 10:05 am

As for Saddam's Iraq being an "innocent" country, tell that to the Kurds.

  15. No More Posted on October 16, 2012 at 10:19 am

Hypocrisy rearing its ugly head once more. Trying to imply i have nothing better to do but reply in a reply. It's no wonder your political views are so childish.

Funny you think Yugoslavian are innocent even though Milosevic was elected, but UK is guilty for electing Blair.

Please do stop replying, you've made yourself look moronic enough already.

  17. RiC David Posted on October 16, 2012 at 12:00 pm

I'm not judging, just giving my take:

This is the kind of thing that sounds brilliant – a fresh approach that says screw convention…until you actually attend a funeral for a loved one. My father loved women and when I went to his funeral earlier this year, the last thing I'd have wanted was a bunch of strippers doing their thing while I was wrought with emotion. It wouldn't have cheered me up, nor him as he was not alive to see it – I would have just wanted them to fuck off while I grieved.

  19. goatsarse Posted on October 16, 2012 at 12:41 pm

Only weak or stupid people need to taken on a religion if they didn't grow up with it. Smart societies evolve out of it through time. Taiwan has moderate Buddhism/Toaism (I am pretty sure you are not familiar) and it's doing perfectly fine without the Bible and all it's meaningless fairy tales.

  20. No More Posted on October 16, 2012 at 1:46 pm

Yes but the default position of all of them is if you do not believe in god you go to hell. That is not forgiveness, that is blackmail.

  21. No More Posted on October 16, 2012 at 1:57 pm

Provide an example please of a christian church that believes atheists go to heaven, i've yet to encounter one so if you can provide an example it would be very interesting to see.

  26. Jimothy, Destroyer of Worlds, Ruler of Chaos, Eater of Kittens, First of His Name Posted on October 16, 2012 at 9:23 pm

Atheism and secularism was the goal because that equated to loyalty to Stalin, not God. I think we're on the same page on that much. The question you have to ask is WHY the religious do what they do. "Because he is religious," isn't an answer, that just begs the question. It's to prove their devotion to their own beliefs. In the case of the Soviets v. religion, I think they removed religious influence to seize more hold over the individual and affirm the singular devotion to the state.

  27. Jimothy, Destroyer of Worlds, Ruler of Chaos, Eater of Kittens, First of His Name Posted on October 16, 2012 at 11:36 pm

Going back to the original comment, it was not blaming atheism, but rather that of atheists using violence to further atheism. We could go back and forth all day but in the end, my stance is that atheism isn't a position of superior morality, perfection, or peace. It has its skeletons in its closet, but not even remotely comparable to that of religion. It seems dumb to idolize atheism and demonize religion entirely because, as you said, the divide is between rational and irrational people.

Hitler was not a christian. He abused religion to reach his goals – just like G.W. Bush did. Hitlers PUBLIC quotes sound "christian", his private quotes go like this: "You see, it's been our misfortune to have the wrong religion. Why didn't we have the religion of the Japanese, who regard sacrifice for the Fatherland as the highest good? The Mohammedan religion too would have been much more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness?"

  39. taxiuniversum Posted on October 18, 2012 at 7:15 am

"Ultimate authority"? No. But I can tell you that who looks down upon a religion´s core teachings and derides them in complete ignorance of their value and significance can be dismissed as a follower of that religion. It´s easy – anyone can see that, even you. Though unfortunately, it doesn´t seem to fit into your biased concept, or does it? Too bad. Then just pretend it is not there. Simpletons? YOU are the simpleton, for ignoring reality, even when it is right there, in front of your own eyes!

  40. taxiuniversum Posted on October 18, 2012 at 7:43 am

I guess this is the Old Testament you are talking about. New Testament, never heard of? Well, it was only two thousand years ago. I am sure someone will eventually inform you one day. By the way: The first institutions that were taking care of poor and underprivileged people were MONASTERIES. Also, the formulation of our modern Human Rights was influenced by religious motifs quite a bit. You conveniently left all of that out of your "two plus two" equation. No wonder your results are wrong.

  42. deathByStupid Posted on October 18, 2012 at 1:17 pm

Did you watch the video of these festivals / funerals, with disco balls and huge stages and more electrical wires all over the place, and multi story buildings? Guessing no.

Taiwan is 1/20th of the size of Texas, there are no areas that are repressive, ignorant and puritanical, except maybe the 2% aboriginal communities, and that/s possibly because they are so remote.

Certainly there are no parts that are as uneducated as any part of the US.

  43. deathByStupid Posted on October 18, 2012 at 1:33 pm

Simple question? If the girl is earning $100 USD for the act + tips, and the girls is part of a travelling troupe with a huge vehicle with lighting and led screen etc… How much does the whole troupe cost, how much does the vehicle cost, how much does the funeral cost.

The answer is probably about 5-10K USD!

Now, what are the chances this community don't have TV's.

This is an epic journalism fail.

I am not a fucking expert on Taiwan, just not retarded.

  44. Codi Johnson Posted on October 18, 2012 at 2:57 pm

Wow, did you ever completely miss the point of this video. The guy's point about TV ("…they may not even have TV or internet…") was just saying that these things come up in rural areas because they don't have the diversions they have in urban areas, so they invent an excuse to do this. You're retarded because you're over the top dramatic about this being some epic journalistic failure when it's just a story about strippers at funerals. Calm down.

seriously the fact you have to ask me proof of evolution means you never bothered to actually look.

  47. Choros22 Posted on October 18, 2012 at 11:14 pm

The meaning of words is in their USE not the definition they have. Language is a flactuating thing the words we use and their meaning have changed significantly over time. I think it is extremely missleading to use the definition of atheism as you have provided as it suggests that athiests can have spiritual beliefs as buddhists have. This is so far from true. You are not skeptical in that you reject supernatural claims without due consideration. Athiesm is a fundamentalist religion of ignorance

  48. Choros22 Posted on October 18, 2012 at 11:16 pm

Atheism is one of the most fundamentalist religious idiologies I encounter. They even have the nerve to pretend that are not a religion and lean on misleading dictionary definitions of tems to obfuscate the true nature of their system of beliefs. You can see that atheism is guilty of the crimes they accuse Christianity of, they work to force individuals into a strict mode of thinkin suppressing peoples ability to think for themselves and observe the world with in open mind.

  49. Choros22 Posted on October 18, 2012 at 11:19 pm

We are very desperate to define atheism as a religion because it is one. I do not have a religion I believe in many different things from many different places and my opinions change continually over time as facts change and I learn new things. Atheism is a reaction to the tyranny of the Roman catholic church. Athiem has taken upon itsself the exact same charectreristics of supressing the spirituality of individuals and their connection to esoteric sciences. Have no religion, dont be an athiest.

first kiss at 23? I beat that I am 25 and never been kissed

  51. Bigby B Posted on October 19, 2012 at 12:50 am

Atheism just means the lack of a belief in God. You say you are not religious, nor I am I. But I also do not believe in God. That makes me an atheist. If I do everything that YOU do except I don't believe in God, how can I be religious when you are not? Don't pretend that certain movements or reactionary groups own the term "Atheism," the word is derived from Ancient Greece and the concept of atheism has existed in some form for centuries before Christ was even born.

  52. MrG0TH1ER Posted on October 19, 2012 at 1:44 am

"the definition of atheism as you have provided as it suggests that athiests can have spiritual beliefs as buddhists have" It means atheists CAN have a "spiritual" belief if they want. But they don’t need to have one. The definition I use is the one atheists use to describe themselves. In that regard it is the common popular definition and the dictionary definition at the same time. There is no debate over this definition. Only people who don’t know what atheism is are confused.

  53. MrG0TH1ER Posted on October 19, 2012 at 1:48 am

“You are not skeptical in that you reject supernatural claims without due consideration.“ Well skepticism would prescribe to not accept as true (you can call that reject if you want) the supernatural claims until there is evidence to the contrary. If you know what skepticism means you will surely understand that. You seam confused on the definition of both atheism and skepticism. Maybe you should read on these subjects. They are very interesting.

  54. deathByStupid Posted on October 19, 2012 at 4:23 am

They have no issue with accusing them of being simple, bored and puratanical, even though they really don't seem to know anything about the people or the situation or the location. Thats my issue. The reality is the opposite their rural is not really very rural (high density population) and they are much more open minded then your average american.

Maybe i am bit overdramatic but it's not cos i am angry, i am laughing, their analysis is just not remotely close to being correct.

  55. JuicemanBill Posted on October 19, 2012 at 4:47 am

  56. Beefy One Posted on October 19, 2012 at 7:19 am

  57. DeadlyChinchilla Posted on October 19, 2012 at 9:02 pm

Pretty much the nonsense I just described, thank you for giving us a demonstration as to how desperate you zealots are. The fact that atheism has no tenents, defined social structure, or "group think" quality, those don't deter your desperatism in shoving us into the "religion" box you're so desperate to define atheism as. The fact that you think atheism is a "response" to religion also demonstrates just how twisted your logic gets.

I'd suggest research, but we both know zealots don't do that.

  58. Choros22 Posted on October 20, 2012 at 1:22 am

Thats funny. I have researched many things anyway. A religion is only a system of beliefs, Athiesm is one example there are many others. To suggest that the defined social structure is an unjustified praise of specific academics and scientists the tenents of Athiesm is that all spirituality is junk. They have clear group think they all believe the same thing and respond in the exact same way to science and arguments they do not like. The fact that Atheism is a response is about history friend.

  59. DeadlyChinchilla Posted on October 20, 2012 at 4:24 am

You clearly haven't researched religion if you think it only includes a "system of beliefs," and even with that definition atheism is still not a religion, despite your desperate desire to see it as one. What you think is "junk" is irrelevant, putting it plainly, and your attempt to shove it into the religious box shows you as being uneducated at best. Academics and science are not social structures, thinking nonsense is idiotic is not a tenent, and show me the cat herder you've found.

  60. DeadlyChinchilla Posted on October 20, 2012 at 4:26 am

Btw, don't call me "friend." That itself is an attempt to make you sound friendly, which would be another convenient lie you tell yourself. People who lie to me, about me, and about the world are not my friends.

Atheism is the natural state without religion. Before religion existed, all men were atheists. Without religion all men become atheists again. It existed before religion, and it will out live all your cults, because it is a default state minus your frivolous cult extras. Deal.

  63. wildreams Posted on October 21, 2012 at 1:12 pm

Usually, it is just the dirty old men (who happen to be organizers of these funerals) that want them strippers. "Religion" is just an official excuse that no one believes.

  64. TroPICAll Posted on October 21, 2012 at 3:44 pm

One of my distant relatives did this for his father. I asked him bluntly what the point was and he said, "Dad really liked sex with 20-something-year-olds. If he's watching, I hope he's happy".

  65. Choros22 Posted on October 22, 2012 at 3:15 am

I am friendly however clearly you are not worthy of such positivity. None the less I will persist… I am not interested in debating about definitions, I was always taught this is the weakest form of debate achieving little or nothing. I myself do not follow any religion. All religions on earth (including Hinduism, Buddhism and New Age religions) are currupted insitutions destroying spirituality of people. We should be in a natural state without religion, however I see athiesm as a block.

  66. DeadlyChinchilla Posted on October 22, 2012 at 4:30 am

So when definitions and research work AGAINST your opinion, suddenly you're "not interested." Thats convenient, now isn't it. Your kind of "positivity" I can do without, thanks. That, plus I don't befriend liars, like I said.

What you "see" things as is irrelevant, and your definition of a "natural state" is questionable at best. Let me know when you're interested in talking reality. You making things up as you go along just doesn't cut it.

Ana, open your eyes. We're better than that!

  69. Choros22 Posted on October 26, 2012 at 9:22 am

Absolutely not I am happy to debate about definitions I decided that after half a dozen posts debating definitions I would try to actually cut to to the core concepts I am interested in debating. By "natural state" is the ability of people to attempt to understand the world without preconcieved ideas about the world. Athiesm says that religions are bad I agree with this, Athiests say 'there is no god' however what do we mean by god? There are concepts of this beyond mainstream religions.

  70. DeadlyChinchilla Posted on October 26, 2012 at 5:47 pm

Your core concepts were found lacking from start to finish. You tried to use definitions, failed, then claimed definitions couldn't be used against your argument. Can't have it both ways.

Atheism "says" nothing about religion or if its good or bad. NOTHING. The sad thing is, you'll refuse to even try to understand that, as your basic knowledge is found so lacking.

Also, atheists do not believe in GODS. Plural. ALL of them, regardless of their human origin story or "mainstream" appearance.

As usual, I come across a Young Turks video and all there is uninteresting, "babble, babble, babble, babble, babble, babble."

    Hey…im work in funeral taiwan…..

  91. Neosaigo Posted on January 6, 2014 at 5:41 am

Actually as a Taiwanese American, appeasing the wandering spirits is just something we tell other people so they go away.  That practice didn't exist a few decades ago. XD muahahahaha

The simple fact is Taiwan is a mix of all types of culture due to its ambiguous standing in the world, so it is not strange for people to try new things, including funerals.  Plus, Taiwan is a secular society despite a large buddhist/taoist population, you are never going to hear anyone talk about governing through the laws of Taoist paths of reincarnation or any of those sorts of things.  Missiles > Religion, that is just a fact Taiwan understand very well.

My DJ friend wants the music that they place during Taiwan funeral, where can I find those?

  93. Nenen Rulite Posted on March 28, 2015 at 8:13 am

Chinese believe that the more people gathered at a funeral the more peaceful is the dead.
The ghost will never come back and haunt the living.

The male host is a bit ignorant.
Anyway, there's something worth dying for in Taiwan.
