When I worship God, one of the first things that I do is just open my heart, and expect, by faith, that I’m going to experience
God. Some people think – have this idea that – you only experience the presence of God on rare occasions. I really don’t believe that’s what He desires. For one, because He died for us to come into Holy of Holies. For another thing I’ve experienced it where I press in, and I WILL experience the presence of God. Because He’s inside of me, The King of Glory is here, but He’s also up there in Heaven at the same time. SO when I focus my mind onto the heavenly realities, rather than the earthly realities, that’s what I get. So, if you feel conviction, like when you just realize your own sinfulness, and feel this weight on you, consider does this bring life or does this bring death? Does is bring me closer to God if it’s not bringing you closer to God, get rid of it. The goodness of God will draw you to repentance [Romans 2:4] As you focus on Him, you will start realizing stuff in your life that isn’t quite right, and He wants that out. And He’s not someone that ruins your fun. He somebody that sees the danger that sin does and He wants it out, out of love. Another thing with worship is that you don’t always have to have words. So I’m like focus on the presence of God
right now and I’m just feeling His peace and I’m just feeling His glory. As I’m just just focusing on Him. Wow, Jesus! *exhaling* And I can just open my mouth “OH, LORD!” “OH, LORD, You’re good!” *tongues* [pause for note: if you are deaf, it is still possible to pray in tongues because it’s not using the auditory speech area of the brain. Also, deaf that have been baptised in the spirit have also been known to sign in different sign languages. Baptism in the spirit is multi-faceted. And then it just comes from the depths, it comes from experiencing Him And you just make sounds If you don’t pray in the spirit yet, that will start to flow forth. Because you’re just groaning and longing for Him. He opened the way for us to experience more glory than Moses. Moses just had the glory externally. But we have glory within; we have Christ within As you focus on this, it’ll become so
natural it will be like breathing. You won’t have to think about it so much. Because at first (5 years ago) I was just pressing in, pressing in and pressing
and pressing and pressing in screaming shouting whatever in
worship fully abandoned to Him It took like an hour for me just to break through into the realm of peace into His presence. But now it’s more instant. It’s by reason of USE that you’re senses are exercised And sometimes, as far as worship we may do something or refrain from doing something out of the fear of man. For example: sometimes they will look like they are worshiping at church, but are really thinking about, I want to look holier than thou to all those around me. But they don’t do that at home and they don’t do that in the quiet and the secret place. While other people struggle with not wanting to be seen as prideful They don’t want to be seen as trying to appears as holier than thou. But that’s the fear of man as well, and that’s more of the mindset that I came/am coming out of. It’s realizing I have to push past that, because I care so much more about what God thinks about me And worshiping Him just in freedom That it’s out of love in expressing my heart to Him another thing is, just worshiping Him based on how beautiful He is; how holy it is. As you do, you know you’re righteous by the blood of Jesus. But as you do, you get transformed, where you’re not screwing up as much And you still screw up, because you’re a human being But it’s less and less every day, because it’s not trying to strive on your own And trying not to sin, or trying to be a better girl or trying to be a better guy. It’s being transformed by the beauty of His holiness. You’re becoming what you’re beholding. you’re being transformed into His image, into His likeness from glory to glory!
