hi this is drew welcome back to another edition of fitness for sylveon join me as I'm fighting counselor Fitness today we're gonna do some juicing so without further ado let's do this welcome to this week's edition of fitness for teen beyond as I said in the intro we're going to be juicing now when I was first diagnosed with my leukemia I spoke to a number of friends and one in particular put me on two benefits of juicing in order to help with the healing process of my cancer now I was given a host of benefits of juicing which I would like to share with you all before we do that I do want to just show you here this is what we're going to be working with today we've got some carrots we've got some apples we've got some kiwi fruit Clementine and most importantly ginger and I'm gonna go through the benefits of those as well in this video and before we get to the juicing but let's have a look at what some of the benefits of juicing are before we go ahead so the first benefit is the volume of juice that you can intake we can get the minerals and vitamins that we need by eating our five a day but in order to get quite a concentrated amount and having a large volume of fruits and vegetables juice gives us more of that supply in one goal straight into our bloodstream the juice itself contains antioxidants that help to fight the free radicals or molecules the cause cellular damage and contribute to cancers juicing also offers a cleansing and detox function it cleanses the digestive system and clears the colons of toxins juicing also maintains the micronutrients that of the loss during cooking the micronutrients are altered whenever they are heated up and when they are cooked all process so Dusen really does help to maintain those Juicin promotes an alkaline environment in the body most people with a Western diet actually have an acidic environment in their body which really promotes ill health poor digestive system and other complications with our physiology an alkaline state promotes better energy better resistance to disease and also helps to fight chronic illnesses like cancer Juicin also offers better nutrient absorption as it's going directly to the bloodstream it also bypasses the digestive process that needs to take place and that could be helpful for people who have conditions like Crohn's disease or that have IBS or irritable bowel syndrome so here in this bowl we have a number of fruits and some vegetables as you can see so I'm gonna move this around so you can see first of all the ginger which I'm pointing to there now the ginger has many benefits including promoting blood and energy circulation in the body and increasing the body's metabolic rate it also reduces pain and inflammation prevents or slows the growth of colon cancer used in the treatment of ovarian cancer it fights common respiratory problems and it strengthens immunity then we'll move over to the carrot which are a great source of fiber and vitamin K this also contains potassium and antioxidants low cholesterol and it leads to improve I health as well then we have round here the Kiwi fruits which are pointing to just here the the green things yeah there we go the kiwi fruit right here it's the Apple so the Kiwi fruits are rich in vitamin C and potassium and then of course everybody recognizes those apples there now this is an interesting one it lowers the risk of type 2 diabetes and also lowers the risk of heart disease as they contain soluble fibers that lower cholesterol now studies have also shown a link between plant compounds in apples and a lower risk of cancer apples also contain compounds that fight asthma and finally we've got here in this mix tangerines which as we know are a source of vitamin C to fight infections but they also improve cognitive function in a helpful for pregnant women by providing B vitamin complex right fro late and they also help to lower your blood pressure so this is what we're gonna be working with in our juicing today so I've peeled some of the fruit for juicing and I've washed everything it is important for hygiene when you're dealing with food fruit veg a proprietary and all of the bacteria from fruit and veg and food before you prepare this helps to stop the spread of infections and making you feel sick basically so we have our juicer right here so without further ado let's do this we're going to make sure that we have the juicer on the right settings down at the bottom here we have certain numbers so what we tend to do first I would set it on the top setting which is number five for hard veg because we're gonna go in with the carrots first and then do the apples then go for the ginger and then we'll move it down to the soft fruit setting as we put the tangerines and the kiwi fruit in with the amount of fruit and vegetables that we just blended we've got just under elite about 800 milliliters of juice so not bad going for that volume this will probably be enough for two you can do more if you want to provide further for more people to develop in the amount that we did there there's a fair bit of preparation but for the health benefits that you do gain from the direct nutrient delivery to your sister it's worth it I'm gonna consume some of this now not necessarily from the jump I'm going to consume some of this and until next time my name is Drew     I love juicing. Have been juicing off and on since 2014 (mainly during the 6 warmer months!). It helped me lose 5 stones and nothing has been better. Would really love to go on a juicing detox for months and enjoy someone else making them 🙂

    You can fit all manner of nutrients in a glass. It will be handy for you if you don't feel like you can stomach a solid meal. It will be a big glass to keep you moving around big fella 😀
