Ritual’s Story: Why We Reinvented The Multivitamin

Everyone thought I’d fail and that I couldn’t be both a mom and start a company I was four months pregnant when I quit my job to reinvent the vitamin industry My mom thought it was the hormones She couldn’t understand why else I’d want to waddle all over Silicon Valley with a huge belly trying to raise money pumping in the backseat of uber pools surrounded by male entrepreneurs. It wasn’t the hormones. I believed that women deserve to know what they’re putting in their bodies and why, and when I realized a clean effective vitamin for women didn’t exist, I decided to make it myself Half of all Americans take vitamins daily, but what are we actually taking? PBP polyethylene Glycol, hooves, animal skin, sheep’s wool, parabens, artificial colorants, talc, titanium Dioxide, mineral oil and shellac, which is a delicate way of saying beetle poop. Who makes this stuff and who decided it was okay for women to consume any of it? Oh, of course It’s a complete mess based on outdated research from 50 years ago. Testing vitamins for women on men and rodents, using caffeine to make you feel energetic, riboflavin to make your pee turn bright yellow so you think it’s working and then pouring a ton of money into marketing, targeting women who are just trying to do the right thing for their bodies and have no idea they’re being sold a product that could harm them. I met with companies that have been making vitamins forever and asked do any of you even know where your ingredients come from? Nope. do they have to smell like rotting fish? The more I learned about vitamins, the more I was filled with a sense of oh hell no I was one step away from being a full-blown Vitamin conspiracy theorist. The people making these products definitely didn’t have our health in mind. Do we really need to take a vitamin? Turns out most women are lacking nine essential nutrients but common multivitamins typically have 20 to 40 unnecessary ingredients often in forms We can’t process or such high dosages that our bodies become harmfully overloaded. We need vitamins, but we need a better vitamin with clean ingredients in healthy dosages So I tracked down this guy Dr. Luke Bucci rat dad, french bulldog father, Jazzercise enthusiast, world war two naval warship connoisseur and one of the world’s leading vitamin experts with over 32 years of Experience in the nutraceutical industry. I was like hi, I’m Kat. Please quit your job and help me make a vitamin that you’d actually want your wife to take and he was like, yeah let’s do this thing. It’s pretty right? It smells good, too. Minty. but most importantly we only use those 9 essential nutrients women. Don’t get enough of in their diet We scoured the world for the highest quality ingredients And the best forms that all of our bodies can actually use backed by clinical studies and research D3 from wild harvested Lichen Methylated folate from Italy, Omega threes from the same algae that NASA uses in space from suppliers with the same mission. Made by skeptics for skeptics for label readers and conspiracy theorists for Dr. Luke’s wife and for me.

I'm so excited to get my first bottle! It's on it's way. I've always been confused about what vitamins to take. I'm hoping with Ritual, it'll put my mind at ease. I did hear that it works best with women under 50 is this true? I just turned 48! Please tell me you're working on vitamins for women over 50!…Before I turn 50 🙂 Thanks!!

Ritual seems to have hidden my comment from their channel. I really hope I'm wrong and that they are willing to listen to feedback… but I'm reposting on this account just in case. I would much rather this start a dialogue than censorship from their part:

I started taking these supplements… and unfortunately watching this video turned me off to your company. I wish I hadn't… In the same video you've made it a point to mention men twice in a negative light… yet you worked with a man to help make this happen.

For some reason you mention the fact that you're surrounded by "male entrepreneurs" and then you put the imagery of a man combing his hair when questioning who decided it was ok for women to consume certain ingredients when males consume the exact same ingredients… Why?? 🙁 If it was not your intent, I apologize, but it gets exhausting seeing these kinds of messages and seeing division between males and females these days on the internet.

I applaud your story and the fact that you MADE this business happen. But the messages in business marketing can really affect how people see your company and it also affects the opinions of the viewers. I can already imagine women getting upset when they imagine you pregnant, surrounded by male entrepreneurs, trying to make this business happen against all odds of the evil male businessmen who are trying to decide what we put in our bodies. Yet again… you work with a man to help make this wonderful product HAPPEN. It confuses me to no end… There are so many good men… and there are bad men and bad women too. Money, greed and power is usually the root of the problem… For that, many HUMAN BEINGS, regardless of gender, will do bad things to get it.

    Lets support each other folks…

I've suffered from draining fatigue since around the time I hit puberty, and a lot of women in my family also struggle with the same issue. For so long, I was determined to figure out why I was so freaking tired all the time, and after expensive doctors visits and sleep studies with inconclusive results, I just had to accept that I would just have to get through life tired. I got these on an impulse purchase a few months ago because I thought the advertising was pretty, and I was on the market for a vitamin with both D and iron in it (I hate taking multiple pills in one day). I can't begin to tell you how truly thankful I am. THESE VITAMINS HAVE PRACTICALLY CHANGED MY LIFE. I'm not tired anymore, and I get to actually spend my day enjoying it and doing things as opposed to just getting through it and looking forward to my next nap. My outlook on life is so much more positive than it used to be! I don't know what it is, but these are magic pills. It feels like such a crime that a vitamin like this wasn't designed sooner for women. You guys truly deserve a pat on the back for this one. Well done. 💛💛💛💛💛💛

Women NEED Calcium! More than men. Especially aging women. Osteoporosis is a big deal.

    Just ordered my first bottle!

  15. Tina M Fam Posted on September 13, 2018 at 10:35 pm

I'm so glad to hear about this. I look at the ratios of Vit D, Magnesium and Calcium and they are so off that is HARMS the body! ugh, i've never once seen a vitamin where the ratios are RIGHT not to mention the synthetic vitamins used. infuriating! I'm going to study deeper into this company!

Almost a perfect ad. I clicked and went to your website and everything (I don't normally do that). But why the old white man hate? I mean, did you really need to put that in there? Too bad, I think my wife would have given it a try. But she despises man-hate, even more than I do.

vitamins for men work the same in women too (which really should be understood but some people don't have brains anymore) and no there are no "uneeded ingredients" also shellac isnt bug poop and here is another question are you an anti vaxxer as you seem stupid enough

  23. Frenchie Horn Posted on January 4, 2019 at 6:49 am

Some of you people are acting like they said "men are the root cause of all female suffering and should be punished." Calm down.

  24. safi bakari Posted on January 8, 2019 at 6:07 am

this ad is actually really pretty and informative, i’d love to see more creative advertisements like these

  25. Crying Chameleon Posted on January 13, 2019 at 1:17 pm

    1. Men like being healthy too and there are women who make these crappy “vitamins”
    2. I’m not quite sure if it’s as healthy as you say if it’s making flowers grow on your rib cages like I’m not expert but I feel like that’s NOT good

  26. T M Posted on January 15, 2019 at 8:32 pm

When rewatching the video, I don't find the video insulting to men unless things are taken out of context. I appreciate you both for making vitamins that cater specifically to women's needs! Thank you❤️🌸

  27. lorena Posted on January 24, 2019 at 4:22 am

There's no man hate 🤦🏻‍♀️ it's simply pointing out that vitamins FOR women should probably have a little more input FROM women. Nothing wrong with that! Can't wait to try them!

  28. Mercy PDL Posted on February 6, 2019 at 4:29 am

just ordered my first bottle! i absolutely love what your company stands for and i can't wait to try it out!

  31. Serena Violet Posted on May 6, 2019 at 8:13 pm

Just saying, I don't trust a company that can't keep polyethylene glycol (Miralax) and propylene glycol (antifreeze) straight in their commericals

  32. Kelly M. Posted on July 17, 2019 at 8:25 am
