Tai Chi

OSHO Taichi I think what we have to understand about Taichi is that it changes according to the context. So, in some places, they teach it as a martial art. And in some places, they teach it as a healing art. In some places they teach it as a meditation and movement. In some places its among daily exercise and it can be a combination of all those things. And I think here what we are interested in, where we focus is on movement as meditation. So we do it in a very non-serious way and a very playful way. And the focus is on being present. And moving energy with intention. We have morning classes. Mostly its beginners. And we come out and we just practice early morning in Buddha Groove which is just beautiful. It’s kind of the biggest, most beautiful experience in the world, I think. And, we are just… …a nice introduction to Taichi. We do a Yang-Style 24 movement, which is the shortest form of the Yang-Style. And, if you are here a few weeks, then you can actually go through the entire form… …and, well basically, to support the movement of energy. So, we move the physical body in order to support the movement of what the Chinese call ‘Chi’, what we would call ‘Energy’. And the movements are done in a very soft way, and a very slow way. So, that we can have more time to… feel the awareness in the movement, and in the awareness we start to feel the energy. And when you start to feel the energy, it starts to become a very blissful experience. Copyright© OSHO International Foundation OSHO is a registered Trademark of OSHO International Foundation
